The Get Movin’ program is a children and youth physical activity program on Tuesdays from 2:30pm-5:30pm at Huntley Public School (118 Langstaff Dr). This program is only open to students of Huntley Centennial PS aged 9-15yo. It is in-person and registration is required before attending (email [email protected] for more info). The Zone West Carleton High school is a youth cooking program on Wednesdays from 3pm-5pm at West Carleton Secondary School (3088 Dunrobin Rd). This program is only open to students of West Carleton SS. It is in-person and registration is required before attending (email [email protected] for more info). |
The ZONE is a unique space for youth aged 12-18 to meet new people, try new activities, and get connected to other resources. YouthNet/RéseauAdo (YNRA) is a for-youth-by-youth mental health promotion and intervention organization (part of the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario - CHEO) that offers services in both French and English.
YNRA offers a variety of programs and services for youth ages 13-20 in the national capital region to learn about mental health, reduce stigma, and engage in healthy activities to promote positive coping strategies, build strong support networks and encourage reaching out for help. Ages 16+. Clients younger than 16 can be seen with their parents/guardian. The Walk-In Counselling Clinic offers confidential, single-session counselling services on a first come, first served basis. Sessions are typically 1.5h in length and can help you connect with other local services. It’s a mobile service which accommodates in-person and virtual sessions.
