Youth Advisory Committee

The ROYMHC is committed to hearing from, learning from and working in collaboration with our target audience of rural Ottawa youth. It is these youth who our project is aimed at helping, and it is vital that they play an integral role in the planning and roll out of programs and services throughout the Collective's work. To this end, the ROYMHC has established a Youth Advisory Committee (YAC).

The ROYMHC's YAC is comprised of rural Ottawa youth (ages 12 - 24) who either have lived experience of needing mental health support or who support youth struggling with mental health and / or accessing supports while living in rural Ottawa.

The YAC is ideally comprised of 10 youth representing all of rural Ottawa.

Additionally, the YAC contributes to some activities (ie: social media posts, art submissions, email votes on Collective issues, etc.) between meetings.
